[The hiss and crackle of an unstable line can be heard the moment the recording begins. In the background there is a voice, broken up, incoherent, yet strangely deep, accompanied by the periodical rasp of calloused flesh tracing heavily over the mouthpiece of the microphone. It doesn't appear as if the individual on the other end realizes the recording has begun, and they continue to talk to themselves, intelligable only when static does not interrupt...]
"W--at is this thing?" [STATIC] "--nd this little li--t?"

Several moments pass, and soon the erratic bedlam is reduced enough that minor shuffling of papers and a heavy cloak can be heard rustling. Somewhere amidst those quiet noises there are muted footsteps as well.]
